Article writing is an important part of marketing any business. The reason is because the search engines is ranking content not sales pitches. Your core audience wants to be educated about the products and services you offer. You can provide detailed expert information in your industry with the use of quality blog posts.
Article directories are still around but many of them have closed due to Google changing the algorithm to only rank pages that are useful to the reader. Past marketers abused article writing by creating sales pages or press releases that would send the reader directly to a squeeze page or affiliate link creating an flood of un-necessary content to only backlink them all to the same website.
Google wants your content to be useful, helpful and knowledgeable but also shareable. When someone comes to your blog they are looking to be informed about how your product or service is better than your competitors. If eveyone is just trying to rank with backlinks then this opportunity for conversation stops before it has a chance to begin.
I have been writing online for a very long time and during that time it seems the articles I wrote that were evergreen seem to do best with continued views and rankings. This in my opinion is the sweetspot of content creation, finding what people want and then making it easy for them to share it with others.
Writing with the reader in mind
You may have heard of why it is important to write with the reader in mind because it allows for a better stickiness on the web. This is why knowing your audience is important. Ask yourself if what you are writing is answering a question, solving a problem or providing education.
The problem that most content publishers have is that they are constantly feeling pressure to focus on SEO, keywords and promoting affiliate links. I understand that everyone wants to make money and ironically it is those who make the customer a priority that makes the most income online.
Do You Know What Your Readers Want?
No matter what type of business you are running or if you are just promoting a business opportunity, it is best to take some time and get to know your potential prospects. What do they like, what do they hate, why are they needing your product, who will be the best candidate for your sales funnel.
Most advertising campaigns are trying to see what sticks and so they run these massive and expensive paid advertising all over the web just to get a handful of prospects that they then must convince to join their opportunity.
Frankly you should not have to convince anyone. People will come to you. Stop chasing leads, followers and sign-ups. Instead inform and educate your target audience. Teach them something they did not know, help them solve a problem, then they will volunteer to join you.
The Best Part About Writing Articles is....
As you may have noted this article is about marketing your business with content articles, because no matter what your selling people want to feel comfortable knowing that you can really help them. Articles are that introduction, content articles is how you introduce yourself, introduce your business and explain why the reader should join you and not someone else.
I should be an advocate for article writing services but I am not. Instead I am a passionate blogger who sees the potential and benefit of having good articles to promote almost any business, product or service that you can think of.
I spend time looking for places to write and publish content so if you are interested in reading that list then check out my article here.
